Bringing life-changing hip and knee surgeries to those in need throughout the world.

Medical Infrastructure

Thanks to generous support from our donors, we only use state-of-the-art medical supplies for every medical mission. Moreover, 90 percent of each donation goes directly to patient care.

Education Opportunities

We partner with only the highest caliber educators, administrators and clinicians to support local in-country programs of care and ongoing education.

Sustainable Care

We strive to develop ongoing partnerships with the communities we visit in order to ensure consistent and sustainable patient care.

Partnerships with those who need it most

Our goal at Operation Walk Chicago is to improve the quality of life for disadvantaged patients around the world who are affected with disabilities from advanced joint disease. Our team consists of leading surgeons, physicians, nurses, physical therapists, medical technicians and support staff. They volunteer their time to provide free joint replacement and rehabilitation services in areas of the world where getting a new hip or knee is not easily accessible.

An impact that doesn’t end

Operation Walk Chicago commits to ongoing education and patient care in these impoverished communities to ensure its contribution will have a long-lasting effect. Our overriding goal is to develop a sustainable in-country medical infrastructure for joint replacement care by fostering relationships with local healthcare professionals. By doing so, patients continue to benefit long after we leave.
